2008/8/1 · In this paper, a model is presented to delineate what limits screw feeding in terms of the mechanisms of blockage and to predict torque requirements for biomass. Predictions are then compared with experimental results for wood pellets, ground wood pellets, sawdust, hog fuel, ground hog fuel and wood shavings, with temperature and thermal effects neglected.
